“Before SheLearns AI, I thought AI was for scientists in America. Now I use it to solve real problems in my school.”

Our Makurdi pilot introduced 50 girls to AI. This November, we're scaling to 150 — and we're inviting supporters, mentors, and partners to help us get there.

Our Story
Artificial Intelligence is rewriting how the world works — from classrooms to boardrooms. Yet millions of girls across Africa are being left behind. SheLearns AI exists to close that gap through hands-on workshops, mentorship, and a first-of-its-kind AI guidebook designed for young women.
Prepare girls and young women with practical AI, digital, and leadership skills for the industries of tomorrow.
An Africa where every girl has the confidence and capability to lead in the age of intelligence.

Meet the Founder

Bonny Joy Kaburuk
Founder, SheLearns AI
Artificial Intelligence is transforming how we learn, work, solve problems, and create opportunities. As I watched this transformation unfold, I realized that many girls across Africa were at risk of being left behind simply because they lacked access to AI education and digital skills.
I founded SheLearns AI because I believe talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Every girl deserves the chance to explore technology, build future-ready skills, and see herself as an innovator, creator, and leader.
The idea for SheLearns AI was born during the Inspire Her Afrika Mentorship Programme — a vision that grew into an award-winning initiative recognized as the Outstanding Project of the Year.
When she learns today, she leads tomorrow.

The vision that began in the Inspire Her Afrika Mentorship Programme won first place at the Inspire Her Afrika PitchFest and was later honored with the Outstanding Project Award — the IHA Changemaker Award 2025.
